Being OK In Silence & Stillness
Let’s talk about the concept of being ok in silence & stillness.
I used to be someone who was NOT OK with this.
I’ve learned it's one of the most important daily practices in my life.
I know you are saying UGHHH I CAN’T DO THAT. It’s too uncomfortable, scary, or unsafe.
It’s ok because your body is just hard wired to be GOING all the time and the opposite seems unreachable.
BUT, I have the answer!
I know when my mind is overworking it’s calling for stillness.
I know when my body is feeling anxious it’s calling for stillness.
My/Your body is giving me/you signs ALL THE TIME!
Some of my clients were NOT OK with this practice when we first started working together but have found it to be a very important part of their day & they look forward to it too.
We did it by regulating & healing their nervous system stress responses through EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) & Optimal EFT.
Because we tap on your energy meridian points your body has an immediate ‘relaxation response’. It stores this in your subconscious and with consistent practice it becomes an automatic behavior to be OK with what is and not be triggered by life anymore.
It’s easy to learn, effective and when working together we get to the root cause of your issues because we’ve cleared out the activated negative emotions attached to past situations.
Now you will be able to sit in stillness and silence which will help you move forward in life from a place of ease instead of fear/control/stress.
So a fantastic prerequisite to sitting in silence is to do a few rounds of tapping and breathing. Then, get still & just BE. Be open to the messages your body & wisdom has for you. If your mind wonders, don’t judge it. Constantly practice coming back to your breath or a loving moment. Start with 1 min and build from there :)
